Napul.ETH was a blast!

Napul.ETH has come to an end. Located at the beautiful Villa Doria in Naples, it gave VeriQloud the occasion to pursue its exploration of the intersection between blockchain/web3/DeFi and quantum. Kudos to NeverLocal Ltd for sponsoring the quantum track.

While at VeriQloud, we focus on the opportunities created by the quantum internet for cybersecurity and cryptography, the first question that web3 practitioners usually ask us is: “what are the consequences of QDay for the blockchain community”?

Here’s our answer: in an unprepared world, QDay implies the end of the information society. The impossibility to create trust in digital systems would lead to the fall of swathes of society such as TradFi or e-commerce. With this respect, the consequences on blockchain are marginal.

We expect the blockchain community to be at the forefront of the transition toward quantum-safe infrastructure. Various strategies are currently considered to reach this goal, and there is a good chance that their adoption will happen faster than in any other field.

In conclusion, keep calm and update your systems. The tools are coming. Follow the news, talk to quantum people and don’t fall for the FUD.
